Human x Nature: Double-Exposure Portraits by Christoffer Relander
Published Oct 9, 2024
In the latest installment of his acclaimed series “We Are Nature,” Finnish photographer Christoffer Relander continues to explore the close bond between humanity and the natural world.
Now in its seventh edition, the collection delves into the theme of childhood, drawing inspiration from Christoffer’s experiences with his own children. Through their eyes, he revisits the unbridled curiosity and pure connection to nature that often gets lost as we grow up.
The series continues Christoffer’s signature use of in-camera multiple exposure techniques. This method allows him to blend human silhouettes with elements of nature, such as leaves, branches and flowers. The final compositions depict delicate silhouettes and subtle hints of facial features peeking through the beautiful natural textures.
You can explore the full series on Christoffer’s website.
