Gorgeous Figurative Artworks by Jennifer Allnutt
Published Jun 14, 2023
Jennifer Allnutt is a young artist based in Adelaide, Australia. She creates stunning oil paintings inspired by dreams, mythology and her own personal experiences.
“Jennifer constructs images which straddle the line between realism and illusionism.”
“In her surrealistic portraits she explores the uncanny, the unconscious mind, transformation and identity.”
Her work exhibits a strong inclination towards storytelling and creating intricate, enigmatic narratives. This is evident through the subtle indications conveyed by symbolic objects, attire, facial expressions, and even minor gestures. She employs the technique of juxtaposition to explore the dichotomies between mind and body, man and nature, and reality and representation.
