Glazed & Confused: Playful Ceramic Creations by MUTI

Cape Town-based creative studio MUTI has taken their love for illustration in an unexpected direction with their self-initiated project, Glazed & Confused.

Known for crafting fun and vibrant visuals, MUTI has poured their creativity into a digital collection of ceramic-inspired 3D objects. While these vases only exist as beautifully rendered digital pieces for now, the dream is to see them transformed into actual ceramics someday. Each vessel feels like a little world of its own, with bold graphics that wrap perfectly around the curves and contours of the forms. It’s as if MUTI’s distinctive style has stepped out of the screen, ready to be molded into objects you can hold, use or display.

For MUTI, experimentation is nothing new. Since their start in 2011, the studio has been producing everything from intricate lettering and quirky icons to animation and digital painting.
