Framed Horizon: Casa Barô by Passarelli Arquitetos
Published Apr 8, 2026
Designed by Passarelli Arquitetos, Casa Barô stretches outward as a low, horizontal structure, keeping a deliberately low profile against its lush surroundings in São Paulo. Long rooflines and deep overhangs define the architecture, creating shaded thresholds that ease the transition between interior and exterior.
The project opens toward a circular pool set slightly apart from the main volume, a precise geometric counterpoint to the linear house. Inside, the same dialogue continues. A sculptural wooden staircase curves through the main living area, softening the otherwise rectilinear framework.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing pulls the landscape deep into the interiors, while wood and stone keep the palette warm and controlled. The spaces move between open and more contained zones, maintaining a clear connection to the surrounding landscape throughout.
