Fine art photographer Michael Furman captures the elegance and majesty of iconic automobiles, immortalizing them as pieces of art.

Born into the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Michael’s early life was surrounded by a community with a rich affection for cars. This environment sparked his interest in photography, a passion ignited by the simple act of experimenting with a neighbor’s camera. That neighbor, alongside his family, played a pivotal role in nurturing Michael’s burgeoning talent. “I got involved with photography after a neighbor of mine had a camera, and we started taking pictures of things. That was 50 years ago, and we’re still friends,” he reminisces about his early days.

Michael’s approach to automotive photography is deeply artistic. Each photograph is a meticulous exploration of the car’s character, designed to showcase the historical and aesthetic significance of the vehicle. His work is a tribute to the designers and engineers behind these marvels, aiming to visually convey their intentions, inspirations and the socio-political scenario that helped shaped their creations.
