Fast & Curious: Meet The Fastest Dogs in the World

Published Feb 5, 2025

Fast & Curious is a fun photography project by Alexander Khokhlov and Veronica Ershova that reimagines some of the world’s fastest dogs as old-school racers. Inspired by retro cartoons like Speed Racer, the series highlights sixteen dog breeds, each one represented with a playful racing persona featuring unique helmets designed to reflect their traits and origins.

You can probably guess that putting helmets on these furry friends wasn’t exactly easy. So to achieve their vision, the team turned to CGI, enlisting experts Alexey Koler, Nikita Bulgakov and London’s POP Creative Studio. They created custom scooter-style helmets, blending realistic elements with bold colors and patterns for a nostalgic, dynamic feel. This approach allowed the dogs to shine as characters without any fuss, capturing their essence in a lighthearted, imaginative way.
