Here are some of the latest creations by Lisbon-based freelance illustrator Luis Melo, who was previously showcased here on the grid a few years back.
Luis graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon in 2005, where he studied Communication Design. But the foundation of his illustration skills was largely built through self-learning, using online resources. His extensive portfolio covers a range of different themes, drawing inspiration from fantasy, science-fiction, video games and music.
With more than a decade of experience in the gaming industry, Luis has honed his craft as a Concept Artist and Art Director. His work in this field has opened doors to international career opportunities. These roles have taken him to vibrant cities like Shanghai and Québec, where he has collaborated with global talents and absorbed diverse cultural influences that further enrich his artistic output.
