The latest World Design Rankings are here, highlighting the countries and creatives driving design forward on a global scale.

The World Design Rankings (WDR) offer a unique way to measure creative impact on a global scale. Compiled annually, the rankings evaluate countries based on the number of designers who have been awarded the prestigious A’ Design Award. The results offer a clear picture of where design excellence is flourishing, across disciplines such as product design, architecture, communication, fashion and digital experiences.

Latest World Design Rankings Highlights

The most recent World Design Rankings confirm the continued dominance of familiar creative leaders, with the top ten countries remaining largely consistent year over year. These nations continue to set benchmarks across multiple design categories, supported by strong design education systems, active professional communities and a culture that values innovation.

One notable shift sees Great Britain moving down one position to seventh place, overtaken by Taiwan, which climbs to sixth. Taiwan’s rise reflects its growing influence across industrial design, technology-driven products and advanced manufacturing-led innovation.

Further down the table, Poland has slipped two places, moving from fifteenth to seventeenth in the latest rankings. Filling those positions are Switzerland and South Korea, now ranked fifteenth and sixteenth respectively. You can explore the full list of award-winning countries here.

If you’d like to showcase your work on an international stage and help strengthen your country’s presence in the rankings, submissions to the A’ Design Award & Competition are now open.
