World Design Rankings 2022 Announced

The World Design Rankings (WDR) is a global ranking system created to identify which countries are at the top of their game when it comes to arts, architecture and design.

Using insights from A’ Design Award, WDR has been able to measure the countries that have produced the most successful designers across a range of criteria. From this data, they have compiled a list of global rankings based on the number of award winners from each country.

For artists and designers, WDR is the equivalent of the Olympic Games. The list provides an interesting and comprehensive global view of design excellence, highlighting both emerging and established countries.

China currently leads the rankings, with a whopping 110 Platinum, 567 Gold and 1375 Silver awards, followed by the United States and Japan. You can view a snapshot of the rankings below, and the full list of award-winning countries can be found here.
