The new Analogue Pocket Aluminum Edition is Gorgeous (and Very Expensive)

Published Jul 14, 2024

Full Metal Jacket

If you thought Analogue was done with their limited editions for the Analogue Pocket, think again. They’ve just revealed what might be the most beautiful iteration yet, featuring sleek all-metal shells available in four different colors.

The new lineup ditches the plastic used in previous editions for precision CNC-machined aluminum parts.

“Each and every piece of the enclosure is fabricated entirely from solid billet 6061 aluminum.”

The new model will be available in four striking colors: Natural (silver), Noir, Black and Indigo.

This new material doesn’t come cheap though. The new models will be available in very limited quantities and if you manage to secure one when pre-orders go live at 8am PDT on Jul 15th, it will set you back $499.99, more than twice as much as the standard black and white plastic versions.

The Analogue Pocket is arguably the best vertical retro handheld out there, and while it comes at a premium, the new version with a metal shell makes it the ultimate collector’s item.

If the high price tag didn’t scare you away, you can try to purchase one here. But be quick, as these limited editions tend to sell out almost immediately.
