The AYANEO Pocket Ace Will Pack a Lot of Power in a Small Package
Published Mar 30, 2025
AYANEO just unveiled the latest addition to their retro gaming lineup, the AYANEO Pocket ACE. This new device has a horizontal form factor, featuring a 4.5-inch IPS display with a crisp 1620×1080 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio that’s perfect for retro games.

This little beast will pack a lot of punch too, with the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset, so we can expect some serious performance not just with retro emulators but also for high-end Android games. Plus, it comes with a massive 6000mAh battery and supports 40W PD fast charging, so you’ll be good to go for long gaming sessions.

When it comes to controls, The D-pad is positioned above the left analog stick, similar to the Pocket Micro, while the Select and Start buttons have been moved to a more familiar spot up top. The face buttons are remappable, and the handheld also comes with Hall Effect sticks and triggers for a drift-free experience.

AYANEO says the device will feature advanced haptics thanks to a “best-in-class” 0916B linear motor for immersive feedback, a first for retro handhelds.

The Pocket Ace will come in three different colors: black, white and a cool “Retro Power” version. True to AYANEO’s style, that special retro edition is probably going to be the most expensive one, loaded with high-end specs.

Although we’re still waiting on details about pricing and when it will be up for pre-order, the AYANEO Pocket ACE is shaping up to be a solid new retro handheld. We’ll keep an eye on future announcements and share any updates as they come out.
