New Details Revealed for the Nintendo DS Style AYANEO Flip DS & KB Handhelds

Published Jan 5, 2024

AYANEO has just unveiled new images and information about the upcoming AYANEO Flip DS and AYANEO Flip KB handhelds, which are heavily inspired by the popular Nintendo DS and 3DS.

Both devices will feature a stylish clamshell design, but the two variants have been designed for different purposes. The AYANEO Flip KB will come with a full RGB keyboard, similar to the one on the recently launched AYANEO Slide. The Flip DS, on the other hand, will include a secondary screen on its bottom half, much like the ones found on Nintendo’s iconic DS and 3DS handhelds.

No pricing information has been revealed yet, but AYANEO has confirmed the handhelds are set to be officially launched at the end of January. The pre-launch Indiegogo page provides a glimpse of the impressive specs of these new devices:

  • AMD Ryzen™ 7 7840U
  • 7″ 1080P 120Hz IPS high-refresh display
  • 46.2Wh high-density battery
  • Up to 28W TDP
  • Full RGB keyboard (AYANEO Flip KB)
  • 3.5″ multi-functional touch secondary display (AYANEO Flip DS)
  • Six-axis gyroscope
  • Replaceable grip panel design

The AYANEO FLIP series will also introduce an optical fingertip mouse module, designed to improve the handheld user experience while navigating Windows.

We will share more details on these interesting new handhelds as soon as we get more info. For now, keep scrolling for more images of the AYANEO Flip KB and AYANEO Flip DS, or check out the pre-launch page on Indiegogo for additional details and to subscribe for future updates.
