Genki’s Updated Attack Vector & Sleeper Case are Now Some of the Best Switch 2 Accessories

Back in June, we took a look at some of Genki’s early Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, the Attack Vector grip case and the super slim and tough Sleeper Case. Both showed a lot of promise, but a few early production issues held them back from true must-have status – something that’s become a common theme among the first wave of Switch 2 accessories.

We just got our hands on the updated versions of these products and we’re happy to report that Genki fixed all the issues we previously had, and we can now easily recommend these accessories as some of the best out there.

Here’s what’s changed.

Genki Attack Vector: A Better Grip, Now Dock-Friendly

The Attack Vector grip case is the accessory that has seen the biggest improvements. The updated design is fully dockable (as originally promised), and it’s a really smooth experience now.

These wider grooves on the updated Attack Vector case make docking a breeze.

Sliding the Switch 2 in and out of the dock is super easy, with no awkward resistance and no wriggling required. Plus, you won’t need any extra adapters or add-ons to make it work, unlike alternatives like dbrand’s Killswitch case, which requires a big dock adapter that takes a bit of extra space.

We also noticed that the Joy-Con attachments now feel much more secure, with less flex and a stronger lock-in. And if you’re planning on using a low-profile Joy-Con grip like Genki’s own Delta Grips (included with their Dual Wield charging dock) or alternatives like the JSAUX charging grip, you’ll be happy to know the ergonomic attachments play nicely with those too.

This was probably an intentional move when designing both the Attack Vector and the Delta Grips for their Switch 2 lineup, and it’s a smart one that adds even more versatility to this case.

With these updates, the Attack Vector has gone from a promising accessory to one of the best Switch 2 grip cases out there, certainly one of our favorites. You’re now getting a dock-friendly design, excellent ergonomics and modular flexibility in a single package.

Sleeper Case, Now With a Much Better Zipper

The Sleeper Case still has everything we loved in our original hands-on: it’s super slim, the fabric finish looks great and feels nice in the hand, and there’s a flap to protect your Switch 2’s screen that also doubles as storage for up to 18 game cards.

The big improvement here is the zipper, which is way more reliable now. The old one was prone to snagging and breaking, which was really our only complaint during our first look.

Now that this has been fixed, we can safely say that the Sleeper Case is one of the best slim cases for the Switch 2, and definitely worth checking out.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Sleeper Case can hold the Switch 2 even with the Attack Vector grip case on, as long as you’re using the smallest grip module (the larger attachments won’t fit). The Force Field 2, which is another grip case from Genki with a slimmer design and clever hinge mechanism, fits perfectly as well.

More Genki Gear Incoming

In addition to these updated products, we also got our hands on Genki’s new Force Field 2 low-profile grip case and their Dual Wield charging dock and grip system.

We’ll be testing those over the coming days and will share our hands-on impressions soon.
