AYN Unveils the Odin 2 Mini, a PS Vita-Inspired Android Handheld

Published May 15, 2024

AYN’s latest handheld bears a striking resemblance to the PS Vita and will come equipped with a mini-LED screen.

The company has been teasing the new device on social media over the past few days, and although not much has been disclosed, we know that it’s going to be a lightweight Android-based handheld, coming in at just 320 grams (0.8lbs).

But the most exciting feature announced by AYN so far is the mini-LED display, which will have a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits. The screen will also have excellent color accuracy, covering 155% of the sRGB color space.

Depending on how the specs shape up once they are fully revealed, this Android handheld could pose an interesting challenge to AYANEO’s recently released Pocket S device.
