Dramatic Global Landscapes: Photos by Max Terwindt

Dutch photographer Max Terwindt captures the planet at its most dramatic, travelling from frozen polar regions and volcanic landscapes to deserts, tropical forests and flower-covered fields.

Max’s breathtaking images are shaped by bold natural light and carefully layered compositions. He often places elements like textured rocks, flowers, branches and frozen patterns close to the lens to create a powerful sense of depth that draws viewers directly into each scene.

His travels have taken him across Greenland, Patagonia, Iceland, Socotra, Vietnam, Algeria and Tenerife, among many other destinations. With an educational background in sustainability, Max sees photography as a way to strengthen our connection with nature and encourage greater awareness of the environments he documents. His work has been recognised by the International Landscape Photographer of the Year and Epson International Pano Awards, and featured by global outlets including BBC Earth and Lonely Planet.
