Capture Thunder: Folkloric Studio Branding by Hojeantes
Published Jun 26, 2026
Brazilian studio Hojeantes created the identity for Capture Thunder, an Ecuadorian creative studio that wanted to be seen as anything but a standard agency.
The brand system is loud, graphic and full of attitude, pairing chunky typography with a vivid palette of red, blue, green, purple, orange and cream. Across posters, digital layouts, stationery and merchandise, the identity leans into a raw editorial feel, with oversized type, sharp lightning-bolt shapes and textured illustrations that give the studio a slightly mystical, folkloric edge.
A cast of occult-tinged symbols recurs across the system, including hooded conjurers, a two-headed cat, a crowned bird and a flame cupped in a bare hand. Rendered in grainy, riso-style halftone, each one feels like part of an invented lore, turning the idea of “capturing thunder” into a strange and imaginative visual world.
