Bubbles Over Paris by Melvin Sokolsky
Published Dec 4, 2012
Melvin Sokolsky is an American photographer and film director born in New York City in 1938.
This fantastic photo series was shot in 1963 for Harper’s Bazaar “Bubble” Spring Collection.
“Each image features model Simone D’Aillencourt in elegant fashions of the time, floating in a bubble through the fashion capital of the world: Paris, France. The bubble was made of plexiglass and it was hung from a crane in each of the various locations, yet the strings that held it in place are completely invisible.”
