Beautiful Editorial Design Projects by Brooke Rodriguez

Brooke Rodriguez is a graphic designer based in Salt Lake City who has been quietly weaving stories and experiences into her work. In this article we’re taking a look at some of our favorite projects from her portfolio: “Imposter Imposter” and “Connection”.

“Imposter Imposter” is a publication by Rodriguez that delves into the modern phenomenon of imposter syndrome. Brooke uses a blend of impactful typography, halftone visuals and carefully arranged layouts to explore the issue. The design is a maze of overlapping text and images, creating a disorienting effect that perfectly encapsulates the feelings of confusion and self-doubt associated with imposter syndrome.

“Connection” is another beautiful project by the young designer. This short publication explores Brooke’s relationship with her mother-in-law, and is a stark contrast to “Imposter Imposter” in both theme and design. In order to communicate the message about an evolving relationship, she used soft gradients and minimalistic design elements, resulting in a visual language that progresses from distant and cold to friendly and warm.
