Beautiful Black & White Portraits by Veronika Gonchar

Belarusian illustrator and graphic designer Veronika Gonchar created this captivating series of black and white portraits featuring famous personalities. The project, which was commissioned by a bookstore and café, includes striking renditions of David Bowie, Kyle MacLachlan as agent Dale Cooper, Federico Fellini and Ernest Hemingway, among others.

Veronika’s monochrome portraits are a celebration of 10 influential figures in the realms of music, literature and art. The iconic portraits were also used to create an assortment of merchandise items for the bookstore, including stickers, postcards and bookmarks. Each item features a personalized quote from the respective figure, designed using a typeface that was custom-made by Veronika specifically for this project.
