Balance Maze: A Modular, Minimalist Puzzle by BKID

BKID is back on the grid with another clever blend of play and design: Balance Maze, a modular puzzle that turns a familiar idea into something more sculptural. The studio has always had a great eye for form, and this project follows that same spirit of simplicity and tactile charm.

Each maze is built from interlocking modules that fit together like a small landscape. To complete the challenge, players guide a metal marble by subtly tilting each individual board. The rules are flexible. You can race the marble from the first numbered section to the last as quickly as possible, or set specific numbers as traps and try to avoid them. Either way, the game rewards a mix of patience, strategy, and fine motor control.

True to BKID’s style, Balance Maze is crafted in a range of materials and colors that make it feel as much like an object for the desk as a puzzle to solve. It’s another strong example of their talent for combining everyday play and industrial design, as seen in some of the projects we previously featured here and here.
