Ayrton Senna’s Legacy Shines in Cainã Gartner’s Striking Wooden Creations
Published Jan 13, 2025
Brazilian artist Cainã Gartner has crafted a breathtaking tribute to Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna with a collection of gorgeous wooden sculptures. His unique pieces reinterpret Senna’s iconic helmet and a variety of other items worn by the driver.
Cainã comes from a long line of woodworking masters, being the fourth generation in the Gartner family of carpenters. Raised surrounded by tools and artistry, he learned to reinterpret objects, infusing them with life through wood. Beyond Senna, he’s also brought other icons to life through his craft, like Michael Jordan’s sneakers and Roger Federer’s tennis racket. The contrast of raw wood and striking gold details in his pieces creates a visual narrative that captures the passion and legacy of his subjects.
