Atmospheric Speed: Photos by Aaron Brimhall
Published Mar 23, 2026
Aaron Brimhall is a self-taught photographer and art director based in LA, whose work we’ve featured a couple of times in the past. Raised in Salt Lake City, he first picked up a camera while snowboarding, an experience that shaped his instinct for speed, light and motion.
That instinct runs through everything in his automotive work. Aaron doesn’t position cars as objects to be admired at a standstill, he places them inside environments that push back. A Lamborghini disappears into a blue-dark snowscape, a Ferrari F40 idles under gas station fluorescents, a Porsche GT3 RS dissolves into fog. The tension in each frame comes from the same source: machines engineered for extremes, dropped into moments that feel genuinely unscripted.
You can explore more of Aaron Brimhall’s photography through our previous features, as well as his website and Instagram.
