“I have an uneasy relationship with all creatures, great and small. They act like crazy people, they can’t be trusted to be logical and yet, this magical alien quality they all seem to poses enthralls the imagination. In this series I explore the relationship between images of wild animals and self perception. Or rather, portraits of human spirits trapped within animal form. Furthermore, I work to infuse each with the expressive qualities of people I’ve known.”
