Adorable Animal Paintings by Angus Gardner

Published Sep 27, 2024

UK-based artist Angus Gardner creates endearing animal paintings inspired by the vibrant wildlife he encounters during his daily walks with his German Shepherd sidekick, Obi.

Andrew has channeled his lifelong passion for art and animals into charming creations that are infused with warmth and humor. Represented by Wishbone Publishing, one of the UK’s leading contemporary art publishers, his debut series ‘Spring Walks with Obi’ is refreshingly lighthearted.

Referred to affectionately as ‘Bird Nerd’ and ‘Nature Boy’ by his family, he enjoys weaving social commentary and personal memories into his compositions. His work is deeply connected to his surroundings, capturing the lively characters he observes on his strolls through a playful lens. In his own words:

“You don’t need a ticket for some of the greatest shows on earth. My inspiration is all around me.”

You can explore more of Angus’s creations on his website, and follow his adventures with Obi on Instagram.
