A Trick of the Eye: Optical Illusions by Akiyoshi Kitaoka

Akiyoshi Kitaoka is a professor working for the Department of Psychology at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan.

Since 2002 he’s been studying visual perception, optical illusion, trompe l’oeil and 3D to produce mind-bending artworks that look like animated GIFs or short videos, even though they’re just normal, static images.
