A Love Letter to Formula 1: Stunning Images by Benedict Redgrove & INK Studio

The latest edition of The Road Rat magazine is a full celebration of Formula 1, and photographer Benedict Redgrove teams up once again with INK Studio to bring that legacy into sharp focus. Together, they captured cars from The Richard Mille Collection through a set of stunning shots that showcase four icons of the sport, each one shaped by Benedict’s trademark clarity and INK’s meticulous retouching.

The lineup spans decades, featuring the 1970 Lotus 72 and 1970 Ferrari 312 B alongside the experimental 1977 Tyrrell P34 and the sleek 1991 Ferrari 643. As usual, Benedict isolates each machine in a clean studio setting, which lets every curve, intake and hand built detail speak for itself. INK then worked through twenty one images frame by frame, balancing light, shadow, dirt and color to present the cars as vivid chapters in the sport’s evolution.

The collaboration also extends to the cover. Asked to create a single object that could carry the weight of seventy five years of history, INK worked closely with The Road Rat team to model and co-design the helmet that introduces Edition 21. The final piece features bold graphics, fluro bands, a Piquet inspired ‘75’ and a nod to the magazine’s Rattino motif.
