Wild Glitch: Distorted Animal Portraits by Manuel Cetina

Wild Glitch is another striking series by Mexican illustrator and art director Manuel Cetina, combining the raw intensity of wildlife with the visual chaos of digital glitches. With this project, Manuel continues to explore his signature mix of vintage textures, bold graphic compositions and nostalgic references.

The series features snarling tigers, a leopard, a wolf and a spike-collared Doberman, all presented in a limited palette of black, cream and coral. Their fierce expressions are interrupted by horizontal distortions, duplicated features and fragmented pixels, as if the images were caught in the middle of a computer malfunction. Dense halftone patterns and grainy textures recall screen-printing, contrasting with the digital glitches that tear through their faces.

Manuel also incorporates familiar elements from old-school computer interfaces, including floating toolbars, pixelated cursors, hourglass icons and error messages inviting viewers to click “Fix.”
