Typographic Tension: The Experimental Kinetic Posters of Xtian Miller
Published Oct 28, 2025
Detroit-based designer Xtian Miller pushes the limits of typography through an ongoing poster series that’s equal parts optical illusion and conceptual inquiry. These bold, experimental pieces play with perception — twisting, distorting and layering letterforms until they become more than just text, turning into rhythm, structure and sound.
Xtian’s work is driven by a fascination with how words function in our brains, how we see, feel and process them beyond their literal meaning. His posters channel that curiosity into striking visual compositions: kinetic grids that pulse with motion, warped type that seems to vibrate, and bold color contrasts that jolt the senses.
You can explore more of Xtian Miller’s work on his website and Behance, and his limited-edition prints are available for purchase on DROOL.
