The Traveller: Photography Series by Ralph Graef

Published Oct 18, 2023

Ralph Graef is a German photographer known for producing intriguing visual narratives. One of his most notable projects is “The Traveller”, a mesmerizing series that began in March 2010. The series was initiated on a tour with friends when they discovered an old brown suitcase amidst a pile of waste. This serendipitous find sparked the concept for “The Traveller” series, which has since captivated audiences worldwide.

“The Traveller” series is characterized by its conceptual nature, blending elements of abandonment, contemplation, and storybook-like imagery. It encapsulates the spirit of a solitary wanderer, exploring forgotten corners of the world.

Over the years, Ralph has produced several other series featuring the enthralling expeditions of his iconic voyager, as he embarks on new journeys to discover the world frame by frame.
