The Louvre Transformed: Large-Scale Optical Illusion by JR

Published Aug 14, 2019

French artist JR created this colossal mind-blowing optical illusion earlier this year to celebrate the Louvre Museum’s 30th anniversary.

The artist collaborated with a huge team of 400 volunteers, cutting and pasting 2,000 paper strips on the ground around the museum to create a gigantic optical illusion.
