The Cinematic Illustrations of Bruno Mangyoku
Published Nov 3, 2025
Paris-based illustrator, animator and director Bruno Mangyoku crafts scenes that feel lifted straight from a beautifully composed film frame. Educated at the legendary Gobelins school, Bruno brings a cinematic sensibility to his illustrations, focusing on gesture, silhouette and atmosphere as much as color or detail.
His creations are often defined by limited yet striking color palettes, bold contrasts and a natural sense of storytelling. Influenced by both American graphic novelists and classic cinema, Bruno’s compositions manage to stay clean and refined while still feeling rich and full of life.
Alongside his personal projects, he has collaborated with major clients including Airbnb, Nike, GQ, Mr Porter and Liverpool FC. You can discover more of Bruno Mangyoku’s work on Behance and Instagram.
