The Badlands Series: Aerial Photos by Tobias Hägg
Published Dec 11, 2024
Tobias Hägg, a Swedish photographer known for his awe-inspiring aerial photography, has turned his lens to the Utah Badlands region, capturing its raw beauty in this mesmerizing series.
This remote region is a wild and surreal masterpiece sculpted by nature over millions of years. The landscape is filled with vibrant clay formations that twist and turn like rivers frozen in time, creating a terrain that seems almost otherworldly.
Tobias’ aerial images offer a unique look at the area’s detailed patterns and textures. From above, these clay formations look like brushstrokes on a giant canvas, revealing details you’d never catch from the ground. The mix of earthy reds, ochres, blues and greys contrasts beautifully with the sharp shadows created by the rising and setting sun, giving each image a dreamlike quality.
