Space Exploration Logo Archive: An Anthology by Davide Mascioli

The Space Exploration Logo Archive (SELA) is a visual anthology by art director and designer Davide Mascioli, spanning over 80 years of space exploration logos. Davide has meticulously curated this collection to celebrate the designers who have helped make space exploration a captivating topic that continues to inspire curiosity.

SELA is a comprehensive archive that documents more than 370 logos, each one a piece of history. Ranging from the iconic and instantly recognizable to the obscure and lesser-known, these logos represent the evolution of design as humanity ventured into the cosmos. The project was documented in a book, divided into eight chapters across five booklets.

The project is now live on Kickstarter and once funded, the book will be printed in risograph on natural recycled Fedrigoni paper, in collaboration with Oreri, an independent publisher based in Cagliari known for its expertise in risograph printing.

In addition to the book, Davide has also created an online version of the collection, featuring the entire selection of logos, free to download in vector format. Each logo is presented with an accompanying image and a brief description, making it a fantastic digital resource for designers, space enthusiasts, and history buffs.
