Slice of Life: Beautiful Illustrations by Yo Hosoyamada
Published Jul 7, 2025
There’s something wonderfully soothing about the slice-of-life illustrations by London-based artist Yo Hosoyamada. Inspired by the places and everyday scenes around her, Yo’s work often captures simple moments like people walking past a local deli, an artist working late at a desk, or a woman and her dog picking up fresh produce at an outdoor market.
She uses bold colors, warm lighting, and plenty of small details to create images that feel familiar and inviting. Yo also likes to play with perspective and texture, giving each piece a sense of depth and a cinematic feel.
After studying architecture and art at the Bartlett School of Architecture and Camberwell College of Arts, Yo has gone on to work with clients like Wired UK, ELLE, Monocle Magazine, and The Times. Her illustrations bring everyday moments to life in a way that’s really easy to connect with and hard to forget.
