Robin Yayla’s Playful Doodles on Iconic Landmarks
Published Apr 7, 2025
Robin Yayla is an artist with an eye for turning the ordinary into something playful and completely unexpected. Based in Milan, this Turkish-born illustrator combines photography and doodles to breathe new life into European landmarks.
Robin started this fun series after completing his Master’s degree in Milan, turning his creative sensibilities toward interpreting cities in a way that celebrates their quirks. His art reimagines iconic structures as pop culture moments, often with humorous results. For example, the Tower of Pisa transforms into Marge Simpson’s iconic hairdo and Zaha Hadid’s sleek architectural designs become Marilyn Monroe’s billowing white dress.
