Retro-Psychedelic Pop Visions by Roberlan Paresqui
Published Feb 17, 2026
Brazilian illustrator and art director Roberlan Paresqui, also known as This is Blasé, creates vibrant, retro-futurist worlds where mid-century advertising collides with cyberpunk color and sharp graphic wit. His compositions look like they were pulled from an alternate 1960s, one where corporate slogans, CRT monitors and floating eyeballs coexist in neon harmony.
Working primarily in vector, Roberlan crafts each scene with clean geometry, thick outlines and high-contrast palettes built around lime greens, electric pinks and saturated yellows. Typography often plays a central role, reinforcing the bold, surreal messages embedded in each piece.
Roberlan’s started his career working with Paintbrush in the early 1990s before moving to Photoshop and eventually settling into vector illustration as his primary medium. With a background in marketing and advertising, and experience in the signage industry, he approaches each piece with the clarity of a designer and the optimism of someone who genuinely loves sharing joy through his work.
You can explore more of Roberlan’s psychedelic pop universe on his website, as well as Behance, Dribble and Instagram.
