Peaceful Research is a collaborative practice transforming discarded automotive components into bold pieces of contemporary art. Their work strips bonnets and doors from road and race cars and repaints them with imagined racing identities, fictional sponsors and unexpected cultural references.

The collective reimagines logos associated with fashion, entertainment and consumer culture through their own visual language, replacing every name with their own. These familiar marks are remixed into fresh paint schemes, with the distinctive shapes, seams and details of the original components preserving the physical history of each vehicle behind its new identity. Collaborations with Rascals Co. and Purple Mountain Observatory slot straight into the same format, trading paid sponsorship for co-branding between friends.

They frame their work as reinterpretation, not nostalgia. Motorsport has always turned engineering into advertising space, and here the salvaged metal becomes raw material for something new. Retired from the track, these panels become graphic artifacts, balancing the sharpness of industrial shapes with the precision and playfulness of contemporary design.
