Powerhouse by ZAK: A Bold Identity for Smarter Laneway Living
Published May 27, 2025
To address Vancouver’s pressing housing challenges, PACK Builders partnered with creative agency ZAK to launch Powerhouse, a streamlined pre-fabricated laneway home system that helps homeowners expand their living space with ease. Unlike traditional custom builds, Powerhouse offers a reliable alternative with a clear construction timeline, transparent pricing, and no surprises, intentionally avoiding the term “modular” to distance itself from outdated perceptions of prefab quality.
ZAK crafted the name, brand strategy, and identity to reflect Powerhouse’s strength and simplicity. Inspired by architectural drawings and classic car manuals, the visual identity combines technical precision with refined utility. The result is a brand that feels elevated yet approachable—a premium product designed for modern homeowners who want smart, stress-free solutions.
