Pixel Art Illustrations by Pinar Gökoglu
Published Sep 19, 2023
Pınar Gökoglu, also known online by her nickname, Cinnamon Chuck, is an artist based in Turkey whose portfolio is teeming with vibrant, detailed and whimsical pixel art creations.
She has a knack for transforming simple pixels into complex scenes and characters, imbuing each creation with a unique personality. One of our favorite pieces is a pixel-art rendition of Howl’s Moving Castle, a beautiful tribute to the beloved animation film that showcases her skill in capturing intricate details in a restrictive digital art format.
Pınar’s lovely creations prove that pixel art is far more than just a nostalgic throwback to the early days of video games. It is a legitimate and powerful form of artistic expression in its own right, with talented artists like her showcasing its boundless potential.
