Pebble Picasso: Incredible Stone Mosaics by Justin Bateman
Published Jun 26, 2023
British artist Justin Bateman creates some of the most amazing ephemeral artworks you’ve ever seen – intricate mosaics made up of hundreds of pebbles and found stones. His work has been featured on ITV, BBC, Forbes and other international news outlets.
Bateman’s process begins with him collecting the perfect stones for his artwork. He then arranges them into a pattern that will eventually become a portrait. After the design is complete, he takes a picture to document it before it fades away with time.
The artist has created detailed portraits of celebrities including Robert De Niro and David Bowie, as well as iconic pieces such as “Stona Lisa” and “Pebble Picasso”, which have gained worldwide recognition. His work is truly awe-inspiring and serves as a reminder of how powerful nature can be when combined with creativity and passion.
