Neatly Organized: Photographic Arrangements by Adam Hillman
Published Mar 12, 2026
American artist and designer Adam Hillman uses everyday objects to create carefully arranged photographic compositions, organizing everything from fruit peels and sweets to forks, dominoes and found objects into grids, spirals and precise geometric patterns.
His work relies on repetition, alignment and color relationships. A row of plastic forks and toothpicks becomes a zigzag spectrum, orange peels shift between skin, flesh and empty rind to form a mesmerizing rotating pattern, while Tic Tacs and LEGO pieces are sorted into portraits or tonal gradients that look digitally produced at first glance.
