My Cabin in Canada: Illustrations by Amandine Delaunay
Published Feb 4, 2026
My Cabin in Canada (Ma Cabane au Canada) is a series inspired by the wildlife of Canada’s far reaches. Created by French illustrator Amandine Delaunay as a dedication to her sister Lucie, who lives in northern Quebec, the illustrations explore the region’s fauna with a calm and thoughtful perspective.
Across the series, animals and landscapes emerge through Amandine’s controlled line work. Feathers, fur, skin and foliage are entirely hand drawn, rendered in deep blacks and ice blues that emphasize texture and structure. Delicate animal portraits sit alongside sparse northern landscapes, forming a measured visual study of white space, cold light and stillness.
