Mirror Wall Sculptures by Ryan Coleman
Published Mar 1, 2024
American artist Ryan Coleman creates unique mirror wall sculptures inspired by classic comics and animation. His reflective pieces are characterized by a blend of bold colours and a scribbled aesthetic.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Ryan graduated with a BFA in Painting from the Atlanta College of Art in 2001. He spent his early adulthood honing his artistic talents as a street muralist, drawing heavy artistic influence from traditional cartoon animation, abstract expressionism and pop art. Following his graduation, Coleman briefly worked in animation at Cartoon Network before moving to New York City. While in the Big Apple, he served as a studio assistant to renowned pop artist Jeff Koons from 2003 to 2011, an experience that further shaped his artistic perspective.
Today, Coleman lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia, where he continues to create large-scale custom murals in addition to his studio work. This includes not just his fantastic mirror wall sculptures, but also paintings, drawings and other types of sculptures.
