Mini Legends: Flavio Carvalho’s Take on Iconic Formula 1 Cars
Published Sep 18, 2025
Designer Flavio Carvalho brings Formula 1 history into playful new proportions with his series of miniature 3D cars, celebrating some of the sport’s most iconic liveries.
The project kicked off with Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/6 from 1991, instantly recognizable in its red-and-white shell. From there, Flavio recreated other fan favorites: Alain Prost’s Ferrari 641/2, the Canon-liveried Williams FW11 of Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell, Kimi Raikkonen’s 2018 Ferrari SF71H, and even more recent contenders like Max Verstappen’s RB16 in its striking Turkish Grand Prix livery and the RB21’s special Japanese GP look.
A multidisciplinary designer with a career spanning work for Google, Meta, NIO, and currently Apple, Flavio channeled his passion for both design and motorsport into these playful models. You can explore more of his work on his website and Instagram.
