Metamorphosis: Striking Artworks by Milica Martic
Published Jul 31, 2024
“Metamorphosis” is an incredible series by Serbian artist Milica Martic where she combines human portraits with natural elements. The collection features illustrated portraits of women whose heads are enveloped in lush floral elements, creating an intriguing visual narrative.
Using an iPad and the Procreate app as her main tools, Milica brings her visions to life with delicate touches and an impressive level of detail. Each portrait seamlessly integrates the soft, organic lines of flowers with the faces of her subjects, resulting in beautiful fusions. The floral elements, ranging from blooms and petals to green leaves, seem to grow out of the women’s heads, symbolizing ideas of transformation and rebirth, themes that are perfectly encapsulated by the series’ title, “Metamorphosis.”
