Matreksha: Fun Sculptures by Dima Lamonov
Published Nov 14, 2024
“Matreksha” is a cool series of sculptures by artist and designer Dima Lamonov, reimagining the iconic Matrioshka Russian dolls with a modern digital age look.
Each piece in the collection was crafted by hand, using a combination of concrete, gypsum and airbrush techniques. These fun sculptures really pop with their bold colors and a pixelated look that brings back memories of 8-bit video games.
If you’d like to see more of Dima Lamonov’s creations, including large-scale murals and plywood artworks, take a look at his website.
