Layered Visions: Illustrations by Aleksandar Savic
Published Mar 19, 2026
Ljubljana-based illustrator Aleksandar Savic creates layered portraits where controlled geometric structure meets vibrant, human character. He often starts with a recognizable face or figure, then breaks it into overlapping planes, halftone patterns, stripes and blocks of color.
Facial features are divided into sharp fragments, backgrounds introduce charts, circuitry, pixel forms or graphic symbols. Although there’s a lot happening visually, every section feels carefully placed.
That visual language translates naturally across editorial commissions, advertising and sports imagery, where portraits of public figures, athletes and professionals carry extra layers of context through surrounding objects and visual references.
You can explore more of Aleksandar Savic’s work on his website, Dribbble and Behance.
