Intriguing Resin Sculptures by Hudy
Published Dec 10, 2024
Hu Yeol Lee, aka Hudy, is an artist and character designer from South Korea who crafts intriguing resin figures with a sleek minimalist style.
His beautiful pieces are a result of digital precision and hands-on artistry. He kicks off his process by using 3D software to conceptualize and shape the basic forms of his characters. After crafting the piece in resin, he shifts to analog methods, using acrylics and lacquer to add texture, depth and a polished finish.
His designs are simple yet full of personality. From human figures to whimsical stylized animals and fantastical creatures, each character feels alive, thanks to his focus on form and expression. Their gentle curves and playful proportions have an irresistible charm that pulls you right into his imaginative world.
