Intricate String Art by Ben Koracevic
Published Aug 21, 2023
Ben Koracevic, aka “String Art Guy”, is a self-taught artist based in London who works with a unique medium: string. Ben’s practice combines intricate structures and complex patterns that form detailed portraits of people and animals.
Ben’s art is not just about string and nails, however; it’s an exploration of depth, shadow and texture. Take, for instance, his depiction of the Joker. This masterpiece was created using 33,616 nails and 700 metres of string, showcasing the intricate and time-consuming nature of his craft.
Another great example is his Harry Potter mural, a labor of love that took over 800 hours and 85 straight days to complete. Each strand of string, carefully placed, comes together to form a stunningly detailed and three-dimensional representation of the beloved characters.
For more of Ben’s work, you can visit his website, or follow him on Instagram.
