Golden Era: Tech-Inspired Project by Moli

Published Sep 26, 2023

Conceived by the creative minds at Moli, a studio located in Buenos Aires, “Golden Era” is a nostalgic time capsule transporting us back to the 1980s, a period often referred to as the golden age of consumer electronics.

At the heart of Golden Era is a fictitious workshop owner in Japan who is determined to preserve some tech treasures from the 80s. The project encapsulates a few iconic examples including the Game Boy, Sony Mega Watchman, Seiko Watch, and the Sony PF-S9 turntable system. Each of these devices holds a special place in the history of technology, having defined an era and transformed how we interact with the world around us.

“Hidden in the narrow streets of Japan’s urban landscape, tech gems from the 80s are given a second chance to shine. Through their scars, these nostalgic-driven rescues become time decoration treasures, carrying secrets and stories from another life.”

This beautiful project serves as a testament to the fact that while technology may evolve, the classics will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
